This project was all about blending function with the client’s existing space. They wanted a whiskey end table that didn’t just sit in their room—it had to feel like it belonged there.
I started by studying the built-in bookcase in their home and pulled some design cues from it. Then I mixed up a custom stain to match, so the piece would tie into the architecture they already loved. The table itself is built from white oak, standing about 25″ tall, 16″ wide, and 10″ deep—perfectly sized for tucking next to a favorite chair.
The top features a drink rail (because nobody wants their glass sliding off), and I added a subtle Greene and Greene architectural detail to the apron for a little extra character. The legs have an elegant taper that keeps the whole piece feeling light and refined rather than heavy or blocky. The final touch was the addition of a lower shelf
It’s one of those builds where the details matter; matching the home’s existing vibe makes all the difference between “nice table” and “this was made for this spot.”
