The initial design for this vault-style piggy bank came from a brick-style building, an architectural feature is often seen on older brick buildings where the bricks on the corners are set in a different pattern to add visual interest.
The overall box is made from maple, and the corners and top are accented with walnut. The top is fitted with a brass coin slot, and to access your savings, there is a keyed P.O. Box, mailbox-style door, installed on the front.
