The bed frame and headboard are built from walnut, with the headboard upholstered in a synthetic sheepskin for a material contrast that keeps the design grounded and feeling warm without being heavy.
On each side of the headboard, two floating walnut shelves provide surface space at different heights. The lower shelf is within easy reach for a book or a glass of water set aside for the night. The upper shelf sits higher, suited for a phone or an alarm clock. Each side also includes an adjustable LED reading light, positioned for use without disturbing a partner.
The platform sits at approximately 18 inches, depending on mattress thickness. The headboard is sized for a queen-size mattress but can be built to fit any mattress.
Equally at home in a guest room or a primary bedroom.
