Clear coat finishes like varnishes, polyurethane, polycrylic, or lacquer are a great choice for protecting furniture from stains, water, and daily wear.  They are stronger, more scratch and stain-resistant than hand-rubbed oils as well as hard wax oils.  A clear coat is one of our go-to finishes.  It is a versatile finish that can be applied to most any furniture type and comes in various sheens: Matte, Satin, Semi-Gloss, and Gloss.
