Things to think about when ordering a Custom Desk.

Aesthetics

When helping you design your desk, if you can provide photos of the space it is going in or other furniture it will be paired with, it can be great in helping me determine a design direction.

• Do you have a particular style that you want for the desk? (modern, craftsman, industrial, etc.)
• Do you have a particular layout, such as an executive-style desk, a writing desk, a workstation, an L-shaped desk, etc.?
• Darker woods vs. Lighter woods, natural wood colors v.s. a stain.
• Do you want to incorporate other materials like glass, metals, or stone?

Ergonomics

I can help you tailor your desk to fit your working style and habits.

• Do you have a comfortable working height or chair you want paired with your desk?  (A typical height is 30″-32″)
• Do you need special grommets for computer screens or integrated electronics to pass the wiring through?
• Drawer Configuration: We can do many different configurations, accommodating different depths and sizes, or omit drawers altogether and design it more as a work table. Here are a few configurations.
  • The drawer bank can be left, right, or on both sides.
    • File cabinet style, either side, or mix it up with a file cabinet, on the bottom with a note pad style drawer on top
    • Center pencil drawer
    • There are many drawer options; you don’t have to decide right away. We can try out different design ideas as we go.
