Things to think about when ordering a nightstand or dresser.

Aesthetics

When helping you design your custom bedroom furniture, if you can provide photos of the space it will be in or other furniture it will be paired with, it can help me determine a design direction.

• Do you have a particular style in mind for a nightstand or dresser (e.g., modern, craftsman, industrial, etc.)?
• Do you have a particular layout?
  • Free-standing nightstand or integrated into the headboard of a bed.
  • A vertical tall dresser or a horizontal chest-style dresser.
• Darker woods vs. Lighter woods, natural wood colors v.s. a stain.
• Do you want to incorporate other materials like glass, metals, or stone?

Ergonomics

I can help you tailor your Dresser or nightstand to fit your style and habits.

• Do you have a comfortable height  (Typically level or just a couple of inches taller than your mattress)
• Do you need any special functionality, such as storage?
• Do you want integrated USB charging or outlets for an alarm or lighting?
• Do you have a particular size that will fit your room?
  • We can size your nightstand to fit on a wall with your bedside.  Many modern nightstands are too wide for older-style homes.
  • We can size your dresser to fit between windows and doors or fit perfectly along a wall.
• Nightstands and dressers don’t have to match each other or the bed.  We can design them to complement the other furniture and not make it feel matchy, matchy, but instead feel collected.
