This Craftsman Style bench was made for a client who built a craftsman-style house in the early 1900s in Denver, Colorado. She wanted a piece of furniture that would complement the architecture of her home. I found some period correct quarter round rope molding the trim out the panels. When delivered, it looked like it was built for the house and had been there for the last 100+ years—a perfect companion.
The bench is made from white oak with a golden oak stain to match the woodworking in their entryway. The bench has plenty of storage and can be used as a blanket chest at the end of a bed.

Additional Info:
This Bench was part one of a 2 part project; Part 2 was the below coat rack with storage.
This coat rack was made to coordinate with the above bench for one of my Denver, CO. Clients. I built it the same width as the bench, using the same wood and stain color, so it goes together perfectly with the new style of their entryway. The coat rack looks great hanging above the bench.
