I have been playing with art since before my little fingers could wrap all the way around my giant Crayola markers. I've been making art in Portland for 7 years and I have loved every minute. I'm a transplant from Utah, where I was brought from a long line of illustrators and artists, my older sister, Brandie and I were always encouraged to be creative and downright messy, however, growing up in a small town there wasn't much support for artists. After doing a little research I discovered Portland's wonderful art world, jumped into my truck and headed to the northwest to pursue my dreams of one day teaching high school art. I transferred from my small town college to The Art Institute of Portland where I studied Animation until I discovered my love for realism, drawing, painting, and the human form. I decided animation didn't quite hit the spot for my taste in art, so I gathered my art supplies and took a little walk down the street to Portland State University where I majored in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking and finally got my Bachelor's Degree in 2009. Since then I have been working on custom drawings and paintings for friends and family while saving up to get my Master's Degree in Education. I love working with paint, charcoal, graphite, and anything else I can get my hands on.
